This amazing fighter is six years old. Summer battled Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Summer was diagnosed in May of 2019. Throughout the course of her treatment Summer received numerous doses of chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, and 12 general anesthetics. In addition to that, she lost the ability to walk and had to re-learn how to do so. On July 1, 2021, after a long hard-fought two-year battle, Summer was officially declared cancer-free! She was finally able to ring the bell. Summer has collected Beads of Courage since the day she was diagnosed. In total, she has 2,006 beads to represent every step of her journey. Summer loves the Disney movie “Frozen” and has a million-dollar smile! ** ### Summer is a happy little girl, who doesn't let Down Syndrome, Leukemia, or a hole in her heart define her or stop her joy and zest for life. She is a charismatic little girl who touches lives all over the world. Summer's Mom Summer, we are extremely inspired by your strength and your bravery! You put up an incredible fight and showed this cancer who is boss. You are a beautiful little girl and a light to everyone you meet! Keep shining bright!
