It is a joy to introduce Kai to our Cancer Kickers family! This courageous little boy is seven years old. Kai is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Kai’s journey began when he bumped his head and a big egg-sized lump appeared. The next day, Kai complained of neck pain which was written off as swollen lymph nodes. The lump on his head kept growing noticeably larger, his neck and face began to swell, and he lost hearing in his right ear. As a result, he was given a COVID test and prescribed antibiotics to treat an ear infection. At school, his teachers noticed continued swelling along with some additional issues, prompting his parents to take him to see a doctor once again. Initially, the doctors weren’t concerned although they did decide to run some blood tests. It was the blood test that ultimately determined Kai had cancer. He was officially diagnosed with ALL in February 2021. Kai is currently in treatment and is nearing the end of his oral chemotherapy treatments!
Kai’s favorite things include telling jokes, playing jokes on people, anything with wheels that he can ride or drive, and Nerfs. He also really loves all types of cars. Cars are his life!
