It is a privilege to introduce Benjamin, our newest Cancer Kickers teammate! This fearless fighter is seven years old. Benjamin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on April 6, 2016.
Benjamin is commonly referred to as “Benny Roscoe Cancer Slayer.” At the time of his diagnosis, Benjamin was considered to be high risk. His treatment lasted 3.5 years. Throughout that time, Benjamin faced many hardships and trials. The chemotherapy he received was very hard on his body, which resulted in numerous holds throughout the course of his treatment. He was never able to tolerate more than 50% doses while in maintenance.
We are so happy to report that Benjamin successfully completed his treatment plan on August 5, 2019! He has done wonderful this past year and is now a healthy and happy seven year-old boy getting to experience the childhood that he very much deserves! Benjamin is currently in the second grade. He is the youngest of five siblings and enjoys spending time with his family!
