Meet Haylee! This strong little fighter is five years old. Haylee was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on October 19, 2020.
Haylee’s diagnosis came about as a result of severe leg pain she began experiencing out of nowhere. After having x-rays, blood work and a bone marrow biopsy performed, doctors confirmed Haylee’s cancer diagnosis. This came as a major shock to her family as she seemed to be a perfectly healthy little girl just a few days prior.
We are happy to share that Haylee reached remission this past November! There was no detectable Leukemia in her bone marrow biopsy, which means her body is responding well to treatment.
Haylee began a new eight-week long phase of treatment on December 31st. During this phase Haylee will receive chemotherapy infusions through her port every 10 days. She has a long and hard road ahead of her, but Haylee continues to have a great attitude through it all!
