Jackson's Battle with Neuroblastoma

Share

Meet the newest member of the CKSC team, Jackson! This mighty little guy is three years old. Jax is battling Neuroblastoma.

Jack has had a difficult journey since birth. He was born with several congenital heart defects. At five months old, he underwent open heart surgery to repair the defects. Just after turning two, on June 26, 2020 Jax was diagnosed with Stage IV HR Neuroblastoma.

Jax began the first of five cycles of chemotherapy immediately after receiving his diagnosis. A short while after completing chemo, Jax endured a surgery to remove his tumor. In December 2020, Jax underwent a bone marrow transplant followed by a stem cell transplant in February 2021. In April 2021, Jax began the first of 12 proton therapy radiation treatments. He finished his radiation this past May and proudly rang the bell! Jax had scans mid-May that showed No Evidence of Disease! He began immunotherapy towards the end of May and recently completed that phase of treatment this past October.

Keep Fighting, Jax!

Jax, know that you are stronger than any storm life throws your way! We never want you to forget what an incredible little boy you are. We truly admire the courage and resilience that you have continuously displayed throughout this battle. We are praying for your complete healing!
