Say hi to Jaxson! This incredible little boy is five years old. Jaxson is battling T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Two weeks prior to his diagnosis, Jaxson began complaining of leg pains. This was followed by nose bleeds and swollen lymph nodes. In addition, Jaxson was running a fever.
Knowing something was off his mom called and made an appointment for Jaxson to see a doctor. While at his appointment, the general practitioner called the hospital and explained Jaxson’s symptoms. They requested to see him right away. Immediately upon arrival at the hospital Jaxson had his blood drawn. The results of the blood tests came back abnormal and showed that Jaxson most likely had Leukemia. Shortly thereafter he was moved to the oncology ward. Further tests the following day confirmed every parent’s worst nightmare. Jaxson was officially diagnosed with T-Cell ALL on November 25, 2020. Jaxson was placed on a three-and-a-half-year treatment plan and began chemotherapy right away.
Recently, Jaxson had a bone marrow aspiration from his pelvis which showed no signs of Leukemia cells. Jaxson is currently in remission and is still receiving treatment.
Jaxson loves Super Mario and Pokemon! He also enjoys playing outside on his swing set. Jaxson has a little sister named Bella who is his #1 fan!
