Please help us give a warm CKSC welcome to Zac! This resilient little boy is eight years old. Zac is battling Burkitt’s Lymphoma.
Zac was diagnosed in May 2020 in the middle of COVID lockdown. He went from being an energetic little boy to becoming lethargic, experiencing a lack of hunger, as well as suffering from painful stomach cramps. This resulted in a trip to the hospital for x-rays, ultrasounds, and a CT scan. Within hours, Zac was transferred by ambulance to The John Radcliffe Hospital where he had a biopsy performed and Hickman Line inserted. The results of the biopsy revealed that Zac had Lymphoma in his bowel.
Zac has undergone a grueling treatment regime which has included chemotherapy, numerous lumbar punctures, scans, tests, and blood transfusions. Zac is now a little over six months in remission with his latest scan showing no evidence of disease!
