Welcome, Brayden! This brave young man is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Brayden was diagnosed with ALL on August 18, 2021, after experiencing pain throughout several different places on his body along with occasional fevers. He saw an orthopedic doctor and visited an urgent care facility as well as the ER where he was treated with Ibuprofen and was repeatedly told nothing seemed to be wrong. About a week prior to his diagnosis, Brayden was hit in the back with a shoe, which caused him severe pain. He once again was brought to urgent care and was told that everything looked fine. The day before he was officially diagnosed, Brayden visited his pediatrician, where he was told his pain was the result of a muscular issue. While there, his mother pushed for tests to be run knowing something was wrong with her son. They agreed to run bloodwork on him. Later that day, Brayden’s family received a call confirming he had Leukemia. He was immediately admitted to CHOA where further tests were run. The following day, Brayden had a port placed, a bone marrow test run which showed 95 percent cancer cells, and began receiving chemotherapy. He is currently in treatment, fighting hard.
Brayden loves to play basketball, ride four wheelers, fish, hunt, and play video games.
