Courageous Connor

Share

Meet Connor! This resilient little boy is three years old. Connor is battling a brain tumor and Hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid in the brain.

This past September, Connor started complaining about fatigue, head and neck pain, and was occasionally vomiting. His symptoms continued to progress and he began having gait abnormalities, was unable to walk straight, and would tip over randomly. All of this led to him having a head MRI.

On October 16, 2020, Connor was diagnosed with a brain tumor and Hydrocephalus. He was immediately taken into surgery to have an external shunt placed in his brain to drain the excess fluid. A few days later, on October 19th, Connor underwent a seven and a half hour surgery to remove his brain tumor. He was then intubated and put on a ventilator overnight. The following day Connor had an additional MRI performed to ensure that all of the tumor was successfully removed.

In November, Connor and his family left their home in North Dakota and temporarily relocated to Memphis, TN in order for him to receive the best treatment possible at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

On May 25th, Connor began cycle 7 of his treatment, which we are proud to report is one of his final two cycles! In addition, at the end of May, Connor received clear scans! His MRI showed no tumor growth or cancer cells in the Cerebrospinal fluid.

“Connor is the bravest boy, never complaining about anything he is currently going through. Despite his current situation, he is always looking out for others. He is sweet, kind, and funny. Always smiling!!”
